Mendocino, California
The original light tower dates from 1909. It was a preferred station for lighthouse
keepers to spend their service, with spacious living quarters and acres of rich soil for
vegetable gardens and raising livestock. It is currently an architectural feature of
the 300 acre Point Cabrillo Preserve.
